Sound Offerings — Island Transmissions
In the spirit of attuning to place, Island Transmissions is a series of improvised sound offerings created in real time with shruti box and voice. These soundscapes are not performed at the island, but with it, emerging in dialogue with the elemental presence of Tjärö itself.
Rooted in the tradition of vocal improvisation and deep listening, this work invites the audience into a meditative unfolding of tone, breath, and silence. Each transmission is shaped by the energy of the land, the water, the wind, and the unseen qualities of the moment, an ephemeral offering where nature is not only the stage, but a living collaborator.

Held at set times throughout the day, these sessions offer a gentle pause, a space to gather, soften, and listen deeply to the shared field of sound and presence.

Ebony Hoorn is an intuitive, multidisciplinary artist whose work flows between sound, poetry, writing, and performance. Rooted in presence, her creative process is guided by the moment, a listening that unfolds into expression. Through subtle attunement and improvisation, she invites others into shared spaces of reflection, resonance, and embodied connection. Her offerings often emerge from a relationship with place, with spirit, and with the interplay of silence & dynamism.
