amphibion

amphibion

From a time long ago, or maybe sideways, a creature has reemerged. A steel
skeleton, rusty and somewhat shapeless, drissled in paraffin meatresidue.
Potentially to be lit at night depending on circumstance.

Sara Ekholm Eriksson & Lior Nønne Malue Hansen met during their studies at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm 2018. They soon realised that they had a common interest in questions regarding human interaction with nature, and did a residency together in Abisko at the Climate Research Center in 2019, which led to a series of joint or overlapping projects. In 2021 they started the collective Cluster8, together with 4 others, under which they have done two solo exhibitions and a number of other projects. For PLX Ekholm & Hansen wants to explore creating their first sculptural collaboration. Drawing from both their separate practices and the collectives, into a new – perhaps temporary – perhaps lasting constellation amɸiβion.
