PLX: Tjärö is a festival in Blekinge Archipelago, an eruption from reality, in a paradise setting. For your best comfort we have some added here some practical information in english. Please be advised that PLX: Tjärö do not accept credit cards. All international guests must have cash with them if they wish to purchase from our restaurants etc..
PLX Translunar takes place on the island of Tjärö in Blekinge archipelago.
The fastest way to get to the island is by ferry from Järnavik. The nearest train station is Bräkne-Hoby station, and is reached by the regional train called "Öresundståget". Please continue below for detailed travel information.
Train and bus to Järnavik Take the regional train called "Öresundståget" to Bräkne Hoby. A festival shuttle will then bring you from Bräkne-Hoby station to the ferry in Järnavik. The shuttle costs 40SEK and runs the following hours:
Thursday 22 Aug, once per hour between 10:45am and 10:40pm
Friday 23 Aug, once per hour between 10:45am and 10:40pm
Sunday 25 Aug, once per hour between 10:45am and 5:45pm (from Järnavik)
Please observe that hours are preliminary and could be subject to change.
Car to Järnavik Drive to "Järnaviks brygga" (25 km east of Karlshamn) and park your car at the festival parking. A map to Järnavik and the parking can be found here.
Ferry from Järnavik The ferry from Järnavik is the fastest way to reach Tjärö from the mainland. A round-trip costs 80 SEK/adult and 20 SEK/child (3-14 years). Tickets are purchased on site and can't be reserved in advance. Please save your ticket for the return! More information about the ferry can be found at Tjärös homepage.
Please Note: The last departures from Järnavik during the festival are 8 PM (Thursday 22 Aug) and 11 PM (Friday 23 Aug and Saturday 24 Aug). Please show up at the ferry station in good time.
The ferry runs continuously between Tjärö and Järnavik on Sunday 25 August from 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM.
Easiest accommodation on the island is to bring your own tent. There will be a festival camping area close to the scenes. Near the camping are Tjärö offers water WC and showers.

During the festival dates there will be several different food options. All of them have vegetarian, vegan and some gluten-free options.
PLEASE BE ADVISED ONCE AGAIN THAT CASH IS QUEEN ON THE ISLAND. We do not accept credit cards on PLX: Tjärö.
